TGIF, Bradenton! It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful weekend to enjoy the great outdoors. What better way to take in all the lovely weather than with a four-legged companion ready to romp? Well, here’s your adoptable dog of the week: Bear.

Bear is a very handsome male Labrador/Terrier mix. He weighs in at 43 pounds and is just 1 years old. Bear was brought into Bishop Animal Shelter in mid-February for not being good with his feline counterpart. According to his previous owners, Bear is also not good with children so a home with kids over the age of 12 and without cats would be ideal.  Bear is house trained, as he was kept inside his previous home. This wire-haired fella is up-to-date on all of his shots and is neutered.

We’re told that Bear is a very timid boy but once you’ve gained his trust, he will show his undivided love.  Bear is quite the snuggle-bug and would do best in a quiet household. As of currently, Bishop’s is unsure if he is good with other dogs. If you are considering adopting Bear and have other canine companions, adoption would be on a case-by-case basis, as he would need to interact with them beforehand. For more information or to schedule an appointment to meet Bear, please contact Bishop Animal Shelter by calling 941-792-2863 or email them at bishopspca@hotmail.com.
