Meet Lexie the Basenji

Here at Bradenton Dog, the sun rises and falls around the canines. And we have a soft spot in our hearts for the homeless, adoptable dogs of our great city. Check out another deserving pup looking for warm spot in your home. Meet Lexie!

Lexie here is a charming Basenji mix female. She is around 4 1/2 year old weighs about 51 pounds. Lexie was brought in to Bishop Animal Shelter in mid-July for being food aggressive. Therefore, it would be best if she went to a home with children over the age of 12 and without other animals in the household.

Lexie is house trained and was kept indoors according to her previous owners. She has a stunning short red/chestnut coat with some white coloring as well. She’s spayed and up-to-date on all of her shots. If you’re a loving, patient family looking for happy girl to fill your home, contact Bishop Animal Shelter for more information by calling 941-792-2863 or drop them a note at
