Bucky the Shih Tzu

August 1st was dubbed as DOGust, a universal birthday for all shelter dogs. But we think all dogs should be celebrated daily. Forget your worries and lose yourself in the unconditional love of an animal.

What’s that you say? You don’t have a pup to share a little love and warmth? Bishop Animal Shelter has you covered with adoptable dogs aplenty, looking for a home to call their own. One dog we’re sure you’ll fall in love with at first sight is Bucky.

Bucky here is a regal looking male Shih Tzu. He is a senior boy at 9 1/2 years young. Bucky arrived at Bishop Animal Shelter as a stray back in mid-July therefore they have no background information about him.

We do know he weighs 18 pounds – making him the perfect lap dog! Bucky would prefer to go to a home without children. He is a happy-go-lucky dog and that would make an excellent companion. Come meet him and you’ll see what we mean! Like all dogs at Bishop’s, Bucky is neutered and up-to-date with routine shots.

For more information or to schedule an appointment to meet Bucky, please call Bishop Animal Shelter at 941-792-2863 or feel free to drop them a note at bishopspca@hotmail.com.
