A New Year – A New Promise

The new year has almost arrived. 2014 promises to be a new beginning for many and for the large number of homeless dogs – it’s no exception. Feast your eyes upon Scooby, your adoptable dog of the week.

Scooby here has a big heart and a big smile. This young 4 year old is searching for his No. 1 human companion. As you can see, he is a Labrador mix. He may even have some Rhodesian Ridgeback in him. This medium sized boy is 54 pounds and has been hanging out at Bishop Animal Shelter since November after his previous owners gave him up when they moved. He gets along great with everyone he meets.

Scooby prefers a home without small kids (teens prefered). He is up to date on his routine shots, neutered and was kept indoors according to his previous owners. Scooby would love a new best friend who wouldn’t mind playing and throwing around some toys.

For more information about Scooby, contact Bishop Animal Shelter SPCA of Manatee County by calling 941-792-2863 or visit their facility at 5718 21st Ave West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
