Fun Run for Boats Benefits Humane Society of Manatee

The 4th Annual Boat and Personal Watercraft FUN RUN has chosen The Humane Society of Manatee as this year’s beneficiary. The June 25th event is hosted by The Bearded Clam and hopes to raise thousands for the local nonprofit.

Bearded Clam’s Wesley Rose said “The Fun Run is a great way to meet other boaters, explore local restaurants and, provide assistance to an important charity in town.”

Stops include Swordfish Grill, Bridge Tender, New Pass Grill, Drift Inn and The Salty Dog. Registration begins at the Bearded Clam – Channel Marker 16 at 8:30 am on June 25th with the last boat in at 4:00 pm. A special breakfast will be available at the Bearded Clam.

Hildy Russell, Finance and Communications Director of the Humane Society of Manatee told us, The Humane Society of Manatee has been helping animals in our area since 1971, and it’s more important now than ever to garner support from every corner of the community. We are especially grateful that the boating community has recognized the need to support our mission of saving lives four paws at a time!
